What level of positions will your firm consider?

Are your searches confidential?

Yes, we respect the confidentiality of clients and candidates at all times. Our teams are professional, discreet and sensitive to the often classified nature of the work in which we partner with our clients.

How many CVs should we screen when filling a vacancy?

We offer you at least 3 perfectly matched CVs (depending on your specific demands and excluding internal applications). This is a good range to be able to see different types of candidates.

How can I get the best results from a recruitment agency?

Communication, communication, communication. A consultant works best with a full understanding of your requirements.

It’s important to also outline any soft skills or personality attributes that the job requires, as these cannot be inferred from a general job specification.

Remember that communication does not end once you have passed on your requirements to the consultant. It is essential for you to maintain contact throughout the recruitment process. For example, debrief the consultant after each interview. This will help deepen the consultant’s understanding of the traits that your company looks for in a candidate. The more our consultants know, the better equipped they are to find the perfect candidates.

What is the role of the consultant in salary negotiations?

The consultant’s role is to create a meeting of minds between client and candidate so that they reach agreement on the salary package. Miscommunication can result in the candidate refusing the offer or the client revoking it. Our consultants facilitate clear and accurate communication.

What industries do you cover?

We specialise in engineering. However, we also focus on mining, petrochemical, consulting and sales industries. All our own consultants are specialists in their fields. They are able to comprehensively assist you with any requirements you may have.

Do you conduct background checks?

The placement fee includes reference, qualification, credit and criminal checks, as well as identification validation and verification. All other checks can be done upon request (at an additional cost).

What is your policy regarding replacements?

We will replace an unsuitable candidate with a candidate possessing similar qualifications, for the same job specification applicable to the original candidate, at no extra charge. You must give us a reasonable and exclusive opportunity to replace the candidate within 30 days and offer full assistance and cooperation with the placement process.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We guarantee that all candidates are technically competent to perform the required duties, as requested by our clients. Executech will replace the Candidate at no extra charge with a Candidate possessing similar qualifications and for the same job specification applicable to the originally introduced candidate. The client must give Executech a reasonable and exclusive opportunity to do so within a reasonable period of 30 days and offer its full assistance and co-operation thereto. If no replacement candidate can be found within the mutually agreed time, Executech will offer a credit note, (as more fully set out in the full length terms) payable on the next placement made by Executech at the client, provided that the credit is utilized within six months of the date of its issue.

A claim against this guarantee is available under the following conditions:

  • The candidate is found to be not technically competent
  • You have paid the placement fee within the 7-day period after the candidate has commenced employment
  • You have complied with all other terms and conditions as stated in our original Terms and Conditions document.

How does your recruitment process work?

We follow a thorough recruitment process to help ensure that the best possible candidates are sourced for you.

Once you have identified a vacancy within your company and have contacted us, these are the steps that ensue:

Step 1: You are directed to the relevant consultant who will determine your requirements through a series of questions designed to accurately construct the vacancy specifications.

Step 2: Once the consultant has a qualified job specification he or she determines the most effective recruitment strategy to acquire a pool of candidates.

Step 3: Candidates are screened and shortlisted based on the job specification requirements.

Step 4: Shortlisted candidates are assessed (interviews, reference checks etc.) to ensure that they will be able to do the job and fit in with your company culture.

Step 5: CVs are forwarded to you so that you can decide which candidates you would like to invite for interviews.

Step 6: Interviews with appropriate candidates are scheduled.

Step 7: We debrief you and the candidates who have been interviewed. We work with you to create a final shortlist of the most appropriate candidates, based on the first round of interviews.

Step 8: Second interviews are scheduled with the final candidates that you chose (if your company requires this). Any other relevant checks are done at this stage.

Step 9: You select your preferred candidate and Executech extends an offer to this person. Relevant negotiations are held through us. We then advise unsuccessful candidates and give feedback.

Step 10: If the successful candidate accepts the offer, we arrange the appointment and commence the induction process. (This includes obtaining a signed contract of employment, updating of all information and records, ensuring induction is planned and conducted.)

Step 11: We invoice you on the day that the candidate starts in the new position. We make follow-up contact, both with you and with the candidate, to ensure that both parties are satisfied.
